Registration during FASET

The following videos will help guide you as you put together your ideal schedule for the fall, register for those classes, and show you some of the many ways that Explore LLC can help you throughout your first year.
How to Create an Effective Schedule
FASET Sessions
We’re really excited to meet you all! Since we can’t meet in person at FASET this year, so we are hosting a virtual Q&A session that you can join to meet the Explore Staff, some of our past Explore Students, also known as Legacies, and ask us Explore-specific questions, registration (specifically about Explore Reserved courses), and life at Tech.
GT 1000 is the ONLY REQUIRED COURSE for Explore. You may take any section you desire, but we put a strong emphasis on the Explore or College of Science major-specific sections. iGniTe students completed their requirement over the summer.
It is HIGHLY SUGGESTED that you select Explore-reserved courses in all situations that you can. You will then be in lab or class with only other Explore students, and therefore able to easily meet for group work, test-prep, study sessions, or ask your neighbor down the hall a question about what the TA may have said.
Below are a list of classes that have specifically been reserved or suggested for Explore students in 2020. (2023 to be released soon)
Note: In the past we have had a large number of students try to take ENGL 1102 and not be able to get into the course because if capacities. This year, we will be focusing on reserving seats in the spring, which will allow us to reserve a higher number of sections and classes, based on student interests, time, and available professors. If you have already received credit for ENGL 1101, PLEASE WAIT TO TAKE ENGL 1102 in the spring with the Explore LLC cohort. This will allow you to work in teams of Explore students, making coordinating group projects and other assignments simpler.
Note: Many of the sections listed above are STUDIO sections. This is mandatory for some courses (indicated by **), and optional for others (indicated by *). All sections listed WITHOUT a * are the mandatory lecture for that course. For example, should you chose to register for Math 1551 E, you would be required to also register for Math 1551 E02 or E03.
